The procession route runs along Oike-dori in central Kyoto. Grandstands are positioned along the route between Karasuma-dori and Kawaramachi-dori. The nearest subway stations are Karasuma-Oike (Karasuma Line / Tozai Line) and Kyoto-Shiyakusho-mae (Tozai Line), both a short walk from the grandstand entrances.
